Is there a good quality alternative for the maxi jet pumps for running a reactor? I just got a 900 today & it's a very noisy little thing.

size must be small so this is a good candidate, have you heard them?

Yeah and they were quiet, it was about a year ago or more. I should say i remember them being quiet but in a store it has a lot of background noise. Dave has them in stock I am sure if you talk nice to him he would let you try one in the store.

I use a maxijet 900 to mix my salt water and it is virtually silent. I hang from the edge of the bucket using the hanging apparatus that came with it and the rubber suction cup against the bucket to prevent vibration noise.

Maybe there is something wrong with yours?

I have 3 x 1200s in my sump and they are DEAD silent. Does seem like something's up there...
