View Full Version : feeding fish raw fish???

can i feed my fish some raw fish ? or do i need to cook it first ? i know this sounds odd i know fish cant cook in the ocean.

My pirana's lived on salmon guts.. but i'm sure it wasn't too healthy. There's DIY fish food that uses raw fish, so i'm assuming reef safe.

depends on where you get it from too, apperntly some storebought fish is sprayed with phopahtes as a preservative.

give it a good wash and feed.
I wash and mix clams,baby shrimp,baby octopus,mussels,squid,real crab meat and some nori.Place it all in a container and grind it all :biggrin: separate it in small ball size and IQF in the freezer in a ziplock bag and voila all fish love it so is my corals:biggrin:

i feed my clowns raw seafood all da time and they love it! just make sure you freeze it first to kill off any parasites

i only ever use raw food, even things such as raw beef heart and the such back in my fresh water days.
