Ich and flukes usually start from fish gills. You can't see the other symptoms at that early stage. I would start treatment ASAP.

Try and let the cleaner control it, he will enforce cleanliness in his tank ahaha, trust me, if i even so much as stick my hand in the tank with a hang nail he will try and jump on me to rip it off haha.

Soak food in garlic and try and keep your hands out of the tank.

A cleaner shrimp is'nt going to fix your problems. Read and follow Wayne's advice.

Use this stuff http://www.jlaquatics.com/product/k-gx01/Kent+Marine+Garlic+Xtreme+Additive+-+1+oz..html
or go to a health food store and get liquid garlic. Soak food in it. Cant recall how much, a couple of drops maybe. I make my own fish food and usualy add the whole bottle but thats for a couple years worth of food

i had a similar issue; one fish would start itching randomly then i would slowly see others doing it. My LFS recommended this stuff - http://www.jlaquatics.com/product/sc-met005/Seachem+Metronidazole+-+5+Gram.html

its reef safe for i used it with my corals and cleaner/blood/harlequin shrimp and snails and anenome with no issues. I mixed it in with food for the first bit, then i treated the tank. Make sure you turn off the carbon and dissolve the medication in water first for it takes some time and stirring.

my fish do still itch randomly everyone few weeks but its never been persistant. No fish have died either. I make my own fish food and put a couple cloves of garlic in their to boost their immune systems - also added vitamins.

I have no experience with this but recently read it in a forum. It is just one more thing to watch with clowns I guess. There is a thread out there about treatment.

Check your salinity. I have seen fish flash like that.. when it was either too low or too high.

micro bubbles can also irritate their gills, just another thing to check.

hmmm..maybe you can put some sort of degasser? like some sort of floss in front of the water output? I don't know the rio but my deltec does that from time to time right after being cleaned and I put a piece of filter floss in front and tie it with rubber band to hold it in place and that remove some of the bubbles.

How long has this skimmer being in operation?

its only been in use for about 2 months not even

2 months should be enough for it to stabilize. Maybe give it a bit more air? I know with my skimmer when I restrict the air too much it create a lot of microbuble (Deltec 300) but produce a darker skimmate. When I increase the air intake it skimm more wet but produce no micro buble. Not sure yours will behave the same way but it is possibly a matter of fine tuning the air. I have also put some filter floss on the output to absorb and disperse some of the bubbles.

I will try that out I have had nothing but problems with this skimmer it will randomly brake it's suction so I'm always watching
