Hi all, I am building a sump for my 40 gal hex in a ten gal tank and am looking for a protein skimmer that is slender enuf to fit along with a refugium. Any ideas what I should be looking for?

Hey I have a coralife superskimmer that I had on my 55 gallon. It worked great for me. If you have any questions about measurements feel free to pm me back

i really dont know alot about what i am building but have been watching many videos on sumps/skimmer/refugiums. My favorite guy is newyorksteelo and he suggests a skimmer with a refugium and it makes sense to me but i only have a limited space so want to make the most of all i have. So I have a skimmer that sits on the back of my tank but don't think it will work for in my sump and need something smaller but enuf room for refugium. I am new to this so not sure what exactly I need.

Hey Figdish, this would be a good choice. Compact and good quality.

AquaC Remora / Urchin

I believe many hang on back skimmers will also work submerged in the tank as well.

bubble magus 3.5 is the smallest and perfect for your system.

I think Kevin might have one. (red coral) I saw one on the shelf last time i was there. I could be wrong on the size, but no harm in checking with Kevin.

An SWC 120 Cone skimmer should fit and work really well.
