what would be better combo for growing some lowlight softie corals??


a 4x 24 t5 ho on a 20-25 gallon or 2 x 96 watt pc on a 33 gallon.

any awnsers are greatly apprecieated thankyou.

tough to say, but I like 4 t5's on a shallow tank.

par values are awsome when buying ati t5 h.o bulb's

The t5s are enough to grow lps an some lower light sps in a 20-25g iv never used PCs but I'm sure they would be great for a softie tank plus it's a 33g I'm sure u will find a 20g to be very unforgiving when it comes to water quality

PC's are inferior bulbs..I wouldn't even think about the PC's if T5's are available.

As for the small tank thing.. Just do regular water changes. You'll be fine!

Why not consider some LEDs? For lower light corals you won't need one of the power fixtures with 3 watt Crees, you could probably find something at a reasonable price for a smaller tank.

do you mean like ecoxotic stunner strips? i was thinking of going with the pc's and a stunner strip or two. any thoughts?
