I used to buy 50 sheets of Yaki Sushi Nori from Sunrise Market in Chinatown, but my friend checked and couldn't find it anymore. Anyone know of an affordable source for nori sheets (preferably in the 50+ sheets pack). I used to be able to buy them for $5/50 sheets. T&T sells the same packs for $15. Thanks in advance,

Anthony

Japanese restaurants do not sell them?

Need unseasoned pure Nori sheets. Lots of stores sell them. Just wondering where other tang-keepers buy them in larger packs for a good price nowadays.

Anthony, SuperStore has them. I think like $3-4. Thats where we get ours from.

They are the 10 sheets. We haven't been able to find larger packs.

Anthony, let me know if you don't find any, I can grab some here. I think I paid 8 or 9 bucks for a 50 pack.

Anthony, check out H-mart (there's one downtown and likely more). I havent looked in a bit but I remember seeing sizable packs for a decent price.

Yeah, that's where I bought some last time I couldn't make it out to Chinatown. The fish ate it but not as readily as the Yaki Sushi sheets.

Thanks Brad. Will probably take you up on that offer.

That's an excellent price. I think we have a Winner:biggrin:

Google Mapped it & here's what I found for those interested:

It's an Asian supermarket. The H-Mart in Coquitlam is near the old Big Al's (now IPU). A little south and across North Road form old BA's location.

205-329 North Road, Coquitlam 604-939-0135

Will be hopefully going there on Saturday to pick up some nori for my tang school.

If anybody wants me to grab a few packs or even just one, let me know ahead of time. BUT if you ask me to pick it up, I expect you to come by and pay for it. DON'T want to be left holding 10 packs of 200 half sheets. (of course that's like 3 months worth for Doofus, right Marie ;) )
