Alright guys, I am on the final stage of finishing the build of the stand for the new tank, I would like to paint the inside to make it water proof. What do you fine people suggest and when can I get it in Edmonton, oh it is made from 2x4 wood. Thank you.

Abe.

Abe, I have a gallon of white kilz here if you want it.

I got marine paint from general paint in the west end. Not sure if they have a store on the east side of the city though.

Yup, marine paint. Nasty fumes while it's drying, but two coats of that and there will be NO chance of water damaging the inside of your woodwork! Any decent paint shop that cators to industry should carry it (not benjamin moore, or that kinda thing, but something contractors would purchase from).

You bet on marine enamel, I use it on my metal stands but not sure how it works on wood. I usually just use a stain with a varathane in it on outside & in.
