I've tried bringing home live market prawns but they never survive (too cold). Where would you get live tiger prawns or white shrimp in Canada? A lot of these are aquacultured in fw or brackish, not full strength saltwater.

Same answer as Anthony. I've heard of a person acclimating a tiger prawn to SW from brackish but lost track of the thread (on RC I think?), so I don't know the final outcome. Tiger prawns in general can get pretty huge and I can tell you first hand, they can do a number on your hands because they have razor sharp rostrums (did not feel good in saltwater surrounded by sharks 100 ft under water).
Did you mean tiger pistol shrimp/prawn?
