Finally, after years of saying that I am going to do this..I have finally got a start in the right direction.
I have 3 banghais with full mouths...woohoo...
now, fingers crossed that the males don't decide that they are hungry.
if I am lucky enough to have some hatch, I will post pics...

Make sure there are no other fish in the tank when the fry hatch.

Cool. Lucky you. You must have a pretty big tank to house that many males. How many in total with the females? I tried keeping 2 bangais together in a 144G and the smaller of the 2 eventually lost the battle. Got any pics?

lucky you. I can hardly wait for some pics.
On a side question how did you find a mated pair? Or how do you tell the M from the F?

Hey if you are successful hatching/raising the bengaii I would be interested in obtaining some.

this is part of my "big plan" to proprogate corals and breed different species of fish that I have been going on about for a couple of years now..lol. it is now just coming up to speed as we speak. It is hard working fulltime running my limo company, plus currently I am taking 5 university courses at grant macewan and 1 course at athabasca university..so needless to say, it is very difficult to get everything done.
realistically, I dont' have high expectation from these batches as I am not fully setup to deal with them yet.
however, I am in the process of setting up a system where I can house 16 pairs of them. this system will be up and running this week and I will transfer them all to this system eventually where I will be able to deal them much more appropriately.
I have 3 pairs that have all decided to breed at once plus I bought 20 of them from sicklid that are too young to breed but are well on their to maturity.
I will hopefully have many of these in the future to sell to people along with several species of clowns, jawfish, and seahorses.

I have 2 breeding pairs in my 180 and they spawn at practically the same time always fish food tho, one day when i get a better set up i will raise them. Neil i found the first few spawns the male will eat don't know if it is out of hunger or not understanding yet but once they figure it out its lie clock work. I hear some people having to split them as the males will starve from too much breeding and not enough time to eat back into shape.

yeah, according to my book and the research I have done, apparently most will eat the first few batches.
which is why I am really surprised - one male is about 1.5 weeks and the other 2 are about a week.
so far so good...but again, no expectations..but at least it is a start.
once I get everything organized, I plan on separating the males and females every so often just to give them a break and let them recuperate.
thanks for the info though, not trying to sound unappreciative.
