Hey guys, as the title states I have low salinity in my 15 gallon tank, total volume of 25 gallons (that's with sand and rock accounted for.) It is at 1.021 and i wanna raise it to around 1.025-1.026. What would be the best method small water changes? or put a small amount of salt in my ATO water? I just wanna do it slowly so i don't stress my livestock.

I would top up with your ato using salt water at the correct salinity. Then next week when you have a water change, just make sure it's at the right level.

YOu can do 0.003 point per day, so raising it over the course of 2 days should be fine. do not put salt directly into your ATO, but rather dissolve it and let it aerate for a day before putting it in your aquarium or ATO.

When I do my hyposalinity treatment I usualy raise the salinity by adding high concentration saltwater that has aerated for a day, and check the salinity with a good refractometer so that it is raised by 0.001 each time, morning and evening for 7 days, but I am going from 0.009 to 1.025.

Never had a problem doing this.

I've read you can drop it quickly but raising should be done slowly like .001 daily but that's all what I've read
I've done hypo and dropped it from 1.025 to 1.009 in 4 days
