I built this container water garden pond for my condo balcony 5 years ago. It is made of 2 wooden pots and powered by a mini-jet 404 which brings water from the bottom container to the top one. It holds 7 gallons of water.

Here's an update. Currently it has a Helvola and a Perry's Baby Red lily, a dwarf Papyrus and various other plants, and Rosy Minnows.

Just waiting for some sun now so that the Perry's Baby Red lily can bloom.

Very nice! I have one in my office at work and one in the works for the new deck to be built at home. They are really nice.

That's awesome. Do you take it inside over the winter or just let cut back the lily and let it freeze? That's a really awesome colour. My lily is blooming now in my pond too. Last year we didn't get enough sun for it to bloom.

Thanks Dez. I got new lilies this year because our strata forced us to remove everything from our balconies 2 years ago while we did a leaky condo maintenance project. In the past however, I left them outdoors and they just stayed dormant until the next Spring. Vancouver didn't get cold enough to freeze the water solid.
