I'm thinking of buying one. Does anyone have any experience or thoughts about them?

you'll get a fair number of comments about them with a search. Here's (http://www.canreef.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=65317&highlight=bubble+magus+dosing) one review.

I ended going with another doser, but for the longest time the BM was on the top of my list.

Thanks for the link mark.

I read up on marine magic and baby fish (ebay) auto dosers and wasn't convinced enough to buy one.

I've had a Bubble Magus doser for about 6 months now, it's a bit noisy(but only runs a few seconds at a time) but is very easy to program and has been very reliable, I am very happy with it.

I received my doser a couple of days ago and was very excited until I seen the tamper sticker had been cut. The doser looks brand new but I want warranty. I contacted the seller and he said he'll replace it. He's from Cali, fml. I have my fingers crossed.

that's a bummer, i got mine at BRS, i try to purchase all my big ticket items in canada now in case of a warranty issue, luckily i've only had one, a hanna phosphate checker that i threw in the garbage.

good luck

If I may coment on the dosing unit,

I have one running and find it a great unit.

you may say that you can hear it, yes but when you say it bothers, no not at all

what douse not mane a sound nowerdays, I find it verry soft and only is a few times a day.

timer wise, I wish it was secounds you could put in, but than again, the ML it has now is fine as well, it is gust that everyone is used to time.

overall I find it agreat timer / dosing unit, and I migt even considder to get the ad on unit to expand dosing

They have better price, but shipping is expensive and delivery time is few weeks though.

bubble magus comes with a 1 year warranty. I've looked into the other one posted and I'm sure it doesn't come with a warranty.

I should add that the doser was in mint condition and still had the protective covering on the screen. I even turned on the pump to test run it and it worked perfectly. It seems like some internal parts were replaced perhaps it was refurbished.

Does anybody know how long the cable is that goes from the main unit to the expansion BM-T02? How are people dosing their second tank? Are they purchasing a 2nd system for it?

you could run long lengths of tubing, that is my plan if i get the expansion unit.

I think it would be easier to just purchase another system.
