Well this is not going to be a lengthy review. BUT I finally have my frag tank set up with all the bells and whistles and I needed a powerhead to treat these frags well. I know its "just" a frag tank but I plan on having SPS etc in there and I wanted decent flow in the tank so was exploring decent pumps. Now I have an MP40WES on my display tank and have zero problems with it and love it. But this is a 30 G frag tank. I considered an MP10WES but honestly couldnt justify the price for all the cool effects just for a frag tank. I have never had a Tunze pump before but after researching it I found the nanostream 6045 to be at a price point and flow that I was looking for. After putting it in I really couldnt believe the flow from this little pump and was impressed by the silence. It has a flow regulator but I cranked it up all the way and honestly I cant imagine needing anything more for this tank.

So I havent had it very long but if you are debating what you may need and considering this pump I highly recommend it.

Well I am not going to be very precise in my observation of this but I would describe it as about 10-12 " wide at one foot from the power head. It seems like it tapers outward and it is probably about 4-6" wide as it leaves the nozzle. But in a 30 G tank that is 12" wide and 36 " long it basically creates water tubulance everywhere in the tank.

The 6025 with a very simple mod becomes a 6045. Pretend you don't know that tho ok?

I love my 6025s. My entire tank is run with 4 of them. You cannot hear them.

I run a mix of tunze and vortech.....I love them both equally for what they each have to offer......vortech has the brute power and the cool modes , but I love that the tunzes
are quiet
efficient
small
durable( Ive had my 6055s for three years with zero issues)
and last and most important is that they are pointable!

love my tunzes. Picking up 2 6015's for some tight area's that need a bit more flow without creating a sandstorm

can't complain about the 6055's either, after 2 years+ they are still extremely quiet
