check your local cabnet makers. maybe one of them will give you a price. I'm sure it would look nicer that a pet store one.

You know there is a place in Lethbridge that makes the stands for the AGA bowfronts, but sorry, I don't know their name. Very well built stands tho..

Hmm, I used to have a nice one for sale. Ended up in the garbage... :frown: I think someone picked it up....

Thanks guys, haven't checked Wai's, not sure if I want to, might inquire about the place in Lethbridge, the other option would be to by a metal stand & frame it, not sure what the finished product would look like or the final cost of everything.

Price I was given for a 5 foot 18" wide oak stand & canopy was $1600.

Inter-American lists stands (wood and metal) on their website. Seemed reasonable last time I looked. Or, get them to make you a kick-ass steel frame stand and cover it yourself as you said.

I called Inter-American, Mitch wasn't there, the person who answered the phone told me to try the LFS.

I'll try to speak to Mitch, maybe he has someone who builds for him?

Wayner, if you'd like to see some of the aquarium cabinets/canopies I've built, I'd gladly send an e-mail attachment.
This isn't the appropriate spot to promote my business, but I'm gettin' pretty good with the wood-working tools.
