Hi everyone, I recently started to use C-Balance 2-part additive to my reef tank and would like to find out if anyone has found the solution to a dosing device that has passed the test. I was at J & L a few days ago and found out that what they've been using in-store on their display tank has a few flaws/problems and they're hoping to bring in a different brand soon.

Thanks,

Romin

whats the name of the doser that DOES have issues (so the rest of us can stay away from them)

In Ontario we are organizing a group buy for OEM peri pumps. They look exactly like the units in the Bubble Magus and GHL / Fauna Marine Dosers.

They are going to be $20-$25 a pop but you will need your own power supply (12v dc adapter is about $5-$10) and a timer (or a reef controller) If you are interested visit this thread;

I'd also give props to the BRS brand dosers. They're out of Italy I believe and they work great on my controller.

I owned a aquamedic twin for over a year as well.

Problem is it siphons.....back siphon - forward siphon...what ever. It comes with small one way valves....but they soon clog up. Also the controller is soooo stupid. When the power goes off it doesnt loss the programing but you have have to hit two buttons to get it working again.....**** poor design.

Here is a possible different solution that I have been researching to add to my system:

http://www.jlaquatics.com/product/tz-kalkdis/Tunze+Calcium+Dispenser+for+Osmolator+-+5074.html

From the research I have done, it is not great for larger higher demand systems, so it would depend on how big your demands are for dosing. If you already have the tunze top-off, it isn't that much more for the calcium dispenser.
