Anyone know the expiry time for mysis? None of my fish will eat it today, maybe it's too old??

I've been using the same package for the last year. How old is yours?

I find it will go dark brown when off and more of a flesh color when "good"

Can't really put a time frame on spoilage since no-one knows how many freeze/thaws (or partial) it had between manufacture and your freezer.

I bought a stupid number of bags in a group order a long time ago that I haven't finished. Fish still eat it like crazy. My rule of thumb though, I thaw it in a container of tap water which leads to a quick rinse before feeding and anything that looks off or floats doesn't make it into the tank.

same here, i still have like 10 bags left in my freezer, however i thaw them with RO water before feeding them. All my fishes love them except the sohal tang, he does not like meat

Make sure you seal the package air tight when you put it back in the freeze. I noticed my fish dont like the older stuff if it has freezer burn.

Picky fishes!!

i have a lockable tupperware style container in the freezer. air tight and no freezer burn.

I still notice a difference in the feeding response when I crack a new package though...

Anything funky in your freezer that might have made the smell unattractive to your tank?
