Blue Fin Damsel fish would be my closest guess.

FYI they turn a very dark blue almost black colour and become fairly aggressive as they grow bigger.

Indeed they do Laurie, I have a fairly large one that is almost blacked out in my FOWLR. I call him The Attitude Adjuster & is the king pin of the tank.
