Anyone recommend a nice campground in the Salmon Arm area that is someone more geared towards a younger crowd (not so family oriented) and not too strict on the standard rules? Dog friendly as well.

Aug long weekend, looking for something for the night of July29th and 30th. We just need something in the Salmon Arm area as we're meeting up with people in that area before we head further down to Vancouver and the island. We don't need a serviced site and would prefer something a little less strict on noise and drinking regulations. Not sure if a liquor ban will be in affect for provincial parks but that would be a problem for sure.

If you can't find what you're looking for, you can always drive up a logging road and camp for free anywhere on Crown land. Usually at least once a summer my brother and I will drive to the end of the road and start walking. Then walk back out a week or 2 later.

like "money pit" said, the back roads around here are a great place to just pull over and camp somewhere. thats if they havent closed them down for fire season yet... last year they didnt close at all but typically for aug long, there are likely closed.

I'll check in my "camp in bc for free" book for ya and see whats around. any of the provincial or pay sites are going tobe pretty strict on the noise and such.
