Purchased a beautiful purple tang yesterday however my Scopas Tang did not agree and they fought for hours.

Purple Tang is now in my sump.

Now I need to sell either one of them, unless someone would like to take care of one of them until I get my bigger tank this summer.

They are both about 2 1/2 inches.

Scopas $25
or
Purple Tang $120 (thats what I bought it for yesterday).

I'd possibly be interested in your Scopas. I know they can be mean buggers and I'd be a bit hesitant putting him in with my fish. He'd be the last fish I would put in and I have a foxface, clowns, gobies etc. If he's the last one in could there still be problems?

I have a Scopas in my tank & have added some fish after it with no problems, really beautifull fish.

Did you try the mirror trick? Worked for my cranky purple tang when I introduced my powder brown. Took a couple days.

Whats the mirror trick? Will the scopas get distracted by that instead of the purple tang?
