One day you'll come home and find your clowns hosting in it. Sometimes it takes a little time for them to figure it out.

I have a tomato and a cinnamon clown in gbta and a rbta. The fish found them almost instantly.

We also have 2 percula clowns that went almost instantly to a purple carpet anemone when we put it into our 150g tank. Exactly what I wanted!! Now they never leave it lol. I should have added that these 2 clowns wouldn't go near a rbta...although it is smaller, they wouldn't even check it out.

You could try printing off a picture of a couple clowns hosting in a BTA and tape it to the side of the aquarium. I've heard of that working in some cases.

I tried that without much luck...

I have heard of people trying mirrors (when they swim by it and see "another clown" near it they get territorial). I have also heard of people putting fake clowns near for the same reason.

if your picasso clowns arent hosting adding more clowns will only bring on territorial aggression. like someone stated they will host in time with any luck.have your pair of clowns established sex yet?? sometimes once a female is established hosting will just come natural.......some also just never host.

Sometimes clownfish just won't go in certain anemones. Pictures sometimes work(didn't work for me), but time may be the only thing that gets the clownfish to go in the anemone.

Give it time. It took six months for my clowns to start using my BTA as a host. Even now, they still go back and forth between it and my tiny sebae.

i phoned blue world and they said to try a clay pot, they will host in that and then slowly move the pot towards the anemone then they will host it....... so im going to give it a go

I would'nt get one of those red ones. My wife has those for outdoor plants. They seem to deteroirate over time in the rain. They seem to only last one summer than get really brittle. I would'nt want that red stuff floating around my tank. Just be patient. It will happen. Patience is one of the keys in a successfull SW tank.

We had to separate our clowns from the LTA they were hosting in a tank swap. Once in the new tank they would have nothing to do with the LTA for 6 months or better......they slowly warmed up and now are hosting. Sometimes they just take their time.

Try an anemone shrimp.
