I just got back from a week long diving trip in Negril Jamaica and thought i should post a couple pics. The weather and diving was awsome. I would go back there in a heartbeat if i had the chance. I took well over 300 pics so heres just a little sample

Hey, nice pics! I haven't been to Jamaica yet but it looks really nice. I'm a diver too and I've been getting into underwater photography. Would you mind if I colour corrected your photos and posted them or sent them to you. If you like them I can teach you how to do it.

And with that plane wreck... artificial reef or? The way it looks broken up looks almost like a crash!

the ones that are really bad were from a dive i forgot my white balance card up on the boat. Some were from the same dive on a difrent day and they look better. That plane was a crash...theres a little airstrip just off the beach

Yah, the engine is missing and the wing broken off to the side. Sweet dive though.

You may need an underwater strobe to bring out more color but heres what I was able to do with what you had. If you want to do this on your own you can download Photoshop CS5. Use channel mixer and levels to correct the color. You can also check out instructional videos on www.youtube.com

After your correction Jack.. some of those shots look way way over processed.... very pixelated in some. The colors do look better... but the shot is lessened by the distractions.

Is that due to the low quality images perhaps.... or is it the filter? Photoshop?

Underwater photography is really hard. Red light is filtered out by the water quickly so your images only contain green and blue spectrum without good lights/strobes. Photoshop allows you to color correct etc.... but ya it's small factors like you said, not the original file, no strobe, lights etc. I was just showing how he can improve the images with what he had.
