Ok, so we know the clown fish uses some anemones for protection from other critters, but my question is will a anemone protect a clown from a mantis shrimp?

I'd say a bta would not.

I agree with Brad, I wonder if the mantis would harm the anemone too?

he doesent hurt any of the LPS I have in there so I would guess not.

I have had anemones with a mantis, but the clowns would be toast

Or skip getting a clown. Anemones do fine without them.

yup they do but I want clowns, not because of the anemone, but because I have wanted clouns for a long time. only I was planning on putting them in the big tank but after all the fun you went through with a anemone in your big tank I changed my plans on that.
