Lighting for refugium

to grow Cheato / should I being using something with 6700 bulbs or 10000?

6700 will grow it way better in my experiences. The best lighting I have found are 100W "cool white" bulbs (coil style) - for some reason these grow this stuff like crazy

my macro algae grow like crazy under HD phillips daylight 6500K compact flourescents.
I use the curly ones because the light fixture is horizontal
