Anyone know where to get a cheap alternative to the coralife tongs? Gotta be something out there that does the same thing for less than $40...

http://www.jlaquatics.com/product/cl-ctong28/Coralife+Aqua+Tongs+-+28%22.html

Also, looking for a long turkey baster to blow sand etc. I know of the attach tubing to end trick but I was looking for a more solid build. Know of any place local that carries something like this, or the pieces to build it?

Thanks

You can buy the baster at Coop or other grocery stores. Regarding the tongs, you get what you pay for. A good one like J&L sells is worth the money. Buying a cheap one and having it break in a week isn't worth it.

Sorry, I wasnt specific enough. I am looking for 24" plus alternative to the aqua tongs as well as an extra long turkey baster, not regular size. Trying to reduce the amount of times I have to get hands wet for feeding, blowing sand and moving corals etc.

The 24" forceps on ebay come to about $25 after shipping which is a bit cheaper, however, since they are steel wouldnt they need to be wiped off everytime to prevent rust?
