:cry:TANK CRISIS! Help

I returned from vacation to a tank crisis…

The mh ballast blew, and corals are dying. Who knows how long ago itis happened?

Its gets better, the sump had run dry and the display was, get this, 69 degrees!
Somehow some corals are still alive, plus my shrimps and crabs.

I don’t know if any coral will pull through. Does anyone have a used 250w ballast for lone or for sale? I don’t want to buy a new one and not have the corals make it, plus I was about to go LED and don’t want to put out a bunch for another MH. Or, any somewhat cheap local sources of ballasts?

Thanks for any advice.

Rob

Cannot help you with the ballast but the first thing is to get the temperature in the main tank up slowly.
Remove anything that is dead and get ready for a 50% water change.
Check all your parameters, ammonia, salinity

I think I have a 250 ballast kicking around, if you don't find anything by next week drop me a line, I will be down on the 14th and can bring it with me, shipping is a little expensive but possible.
