:biggrin: :biggrin:

Please, someone have it in your heart to save me all this searching. The tank is new, there is a reactor, my Ca is at 500 and my dkH at 15. What should I do. :neutral: :confused: :eek:

I like this one for calcium/alk issues;

Are the levels that high because of the reactor, or were they elevated to begin with?

The first thing would be to turn down the reactor (maybe even just turn off the co2 until levels are normal.) I imagine the new tank doesn't have much for consumers since it hasn't been running too long yet. What's currently in the tank, what is the reactor co2 bpm and flow rate at?

Thanks guys, the levels were perfect before, at abouut 450 ca and 13 dkh.
We have quite a bit of rock, seven fish, two clams, but not much for coral yet. The sand was new. The bubble rate is 1 per sec.

Hey Deb,

Is the sand totally new? If it is and you are using CA reactor......... you may get some clumping.

Cheers,

It is still blowing all over the place and is only a shallow bed, so no clumping yet. I guess we will just shut down the reactor for a bit.
