So I'm looking for some critique on my recent attempt of rock work. Not sure if I like it or not. Would prefer a minimalist look like Johns (lobsterboy) Don't have the length so I have to go up  For the past year and half I've been battling some real pests in my largest system (couldn't be the smallest as I can really only use one of arms  ) The final straw was trying to catch a very large crab and ended up wrecking most of the rock work catching it. Also included a very bad case of aiptasia (very bad - leading cause for tear down), vermatid snails & neomeris annulata algae (thought it was neat at first). So I ended up pulling out all my rock and drying in out, cleaning out my over flow compartment & cleaning out my sump. While I was cleaning the rock I found 2 more crabs & a large bristle worm. My health has been in the toilet for a while now and off to surgery again on friday so the rest of live stock, corals & any changes will have to wait for awhile. Plus will be putting it up for sale when I get out.

Construction of one of the towers using tie-straps & acrylic tubing:

I like it! Bommies are challenging. They need to get some coraline going before you really start to love them (or at least has been the case for me).

Only thing I might have done differently is offset the two islands a bit so that they're not quite side by side nor front and back, but such that the ravine in between (hey that rhymes) is a bit diagonal.

Sorry to hear about your health Mike hope things turn around for you (and you don't need to sell). Like those structures they look beefy.

The way I see it, I would keep the tallest tower in a overflow corner and lay other one pointing the opposite corner. Or take it a part and do a gradual decrease slope from the tall tower towards the opposite corner.
Or even better would do two decreasing slopes with an open lagoon/pass(pointing opposite corner to the overflow) running between them, where your tower by the overflow being the highest point.
