Last Sat I was aggressively cleaning my tanks of grape calerupa. And yes I was wearing gloves but these were only medical gloves. In the process of pulling this stuff off the rocks the palys secret out a slime when mechanically upset. I don't know if it was the aerosol generated by the cleaning or the skin contact but it almost turned into a medical emergency. I suffered a severe acute asthmatic attack which lasted at least 8 hrs all night. I have no history of asthma. I did seek medical attention in the morning and the doctor put me on Ventolin.

wow, that's terrible. I've heard some of them are pretty toxic, apperently some hawiian zoa's where used for poison tipped spears way back. Hope all goes well.

Scary! I hope you're all recovered now. I had once got the metal taste from my purple deaths just from pulling a small piece of algae off it and that was warning enough for me.
