Merry Xmas !!

anyone using any of these two products?
just wondering what the size of the ports on the Squid
also for the tunze 6080, would that be an overkill on a 4'tank
i'm thinking about putting the tunze at one end of the tank, on at all times
and have two mp1200 powerheads on the other end hooked up to a wavemaker

thanks
any input would be much appreciated

Certainly not overkill, but you need to be careful you don't aim it directly at a coral for the first 1.5 feet. Also, try not to point it where it will stir up the sand too much. Some people run 2 6100 models on a 4' tank. My 5' has 1 6100 and I'm going ot add a 6080 to it shortly.

crap if that is the case then another aquascape is imminent =o/

hey brad do you think its a better idea to just run an squid from my return pump and just use em loc line products including my current 1200mps
because the way my rockwork is setup i sorta got two mountains on each side of the tank leaving one side unexposed to the tunze if i ever decide to get one
are there any sps with low water flow requirements?

thanks

Jesse, most SPS prefer strong flow. I would choose the stream personally, since I think mine is an awesome pump. The squid doesn't look like it compares at all.

For the price of either a SCWD setup (pump, unit, plumbing) or Tunze powerhead(plug and play), I'd chose Tunze too.

Montipora Digitata doesn't mind low flow but it only comes in a few colours and basic growth forms.

Sent you a PM also.

i'm just worried about the left side of my tank as i can't afford to get two tunzes
i just sold my saddle anemone which doesn't like high flow at all [sucks  ]
so now i want to keep mainly sps on the tank
any sggestions?

now what i was thinking was to put the tunze on the left side of the tank running along side the main return flair nozzle marked on the third picture
now my problem is water flow at the bottom where the tunze is going to be at. if i'm putting two 1200mps accross from it i wonder if its strong enough to push back the oncoming flow
crappy heheh
i guess i could always use the flair nozzle on one of the return lines as i currently have two of them =o/

dont mind all the wires i'll be working on it next =o)
