Very nice Jason. The male lyretail is gorgeous.

Yery nice. Do you find the male picking on the females? i've heard that can be an issue and that's why you should get 3+, so that the male can spread his beating around. They look great though, i've got a female that is probably going to end up male at some point, good to know what he/she will look like.

Thanks Dawn I seen them in the store and couldn't resist.

Too soon to know because he's always around the cleaner shrimp at the moment.

ich?
Unfortunately yes but my cleaner shrimp has been cleaning them. I don't have a hospital tank and times like this I wonder why I don't. I've got my fingers crossed.

My 3 do not show any signs of Ich. They are still kind of shy in the tank. The 2 females are eating more than the male but did not take a lot.

I hope they are just adjusting.

Geez Jason, maybe we should have let them go through quarantine ha ha!

They were so nice, it was hard to resist them.

At least, SO FAR, they are alive. I hope they do well as they fit right into my reef and not a single fish has hassled any of them.

The male didn't make it through the night but on a positive side both the females are eating and active. I didn't notice anything wrong at the store when I looked at the fish but these things happen. If they have anymore females (not in qt ) I may get another one.

Yea... my male is also looking shabby. Chris @ AI did say the males are not as hardy as the females. Maybe we should have bought three females each, and left the magnificent looking males to the QT. Bah.

Sorry to hear about the death, One of your females will most likly become male now, so you'll still get the great colors.
