Anyone know of a Canadian distributor for these?

Try calling Marine Aquarium @ 780-660-1470
They are suppose to handle sales in Canada for Lumenarc lighting.

Saw that, but was hoping to creep around a web site first :)

is that not just a standard Lumenarc mini? If so I bought mine at JL.

It's a standard lumenarc 3 mini, but I didn't see any at J&L yesterday. They have an Elite, which is similar, but more money and a hammertone finish (which I might use anyway if I can't find one of these)

The hammertone is suppose to be better, for convenience that might be better, you'll have to pay shipping from other places anyway.

my thoughts exactly, although the J&L unit is a few bucks more. But probably works out the same in the end...

They were not listed when I bought them either. I just asked Jeff if he had any and he said yes, and sent one.

Hmm, I talked to Jeff yesterday and we compared them. The 2 used units I just bought actually came from Jeff originally, and he got them from Pacific Garden Supply.

I sold a lot of these a number of years ago as well. Too bad I don't have any left to give ya Brad.

Ya, I think I was gonna take a couple, then ran out of money :) Where did you order them from?

Direct from Pacific Garden Supply.

You had to order a bunch I recall. I'm probably better off just getting the Elite from J&L

Lando no longer works for Marine Aquaria.
You can contact Harvey (Mr_Alberta) instead.

I sent an email to them, we'll see what they have to say. If not, I'll go with the Elite, it seems close enough to the minis.

Oh ok that's new, haha. I swear he was posting new arrivals not two weeks ago in their vendor forum.

stay away from hammer tone finnish, not what you want in your tank.

thats something a guy who has been using T5's would buy so the light is a bit difused and won't shock him to much

seriously though hammer tone was used to get better dispersion but at the cost of strenght.. moderen reflectors are much more advanced in the dispersion than when we were making our own reflectors so that hammer tone isn't realy required anymore.
