This is the second time this had happened. My yellow sea cucumber has twisted itself several times to the point that that almost separate into two. The first time I saw it I try to unwind it and it was more than a month ago. But last night it twisted it self again and I decided to leave it for now. Have anyone have this experience? Is it perhaps self-multiplying? Otherwise it seems normal and healthy.

Yeah, they will split into 2. There are many accounts of this happening on RC.

These are filter feeders as opposed to sand sifters. I see mine catch and eat cyclopeeze. Might eat flake as well but I hardly feed my tank flake anymore.

I don't really feed mine. But i do put Kent's MicroVert in the tank occasionally.

Does anyone know how big they'll get? I bought one aprox. 1/2" long 4 months ago and in no time it split to two 1/4"ers which haven't grown
since and only one has antennae?

mine is about 2 inches long before it split, not sure after it split as I am not home yet.

sam how often do you feed your tank cyclopeeze

I currently feed often in small quantities. I feed cyclopeeze about 4-5 times a day. I just sprinkle it on top and the fish gobble it up. I have an Aquaclear that helps sink some and a powerhead blowing across the output of the aquaclear blows the sinking cyclopeeze to the right side of my tank where I put most of my filtering animals such as the yellow cucumber, the red gorgonian, and yellow polyps.

I would like to add an auto-feeder eventually so that I can automate this. My current autofeeder (Lifegard) doesn't allow me set the amount being dispensed at one time and would dispense too much cyclopeeze so I'm in the market for a new autofeeder.

Whow that's pretty big eh! I wonder if mine will ever grow?
I also have a 1" black one that looks similar seems to also filter feed.
He must have snuck in with some live rock

I have one that's about 8" long and another that's 24" long.

Speaking of splitting, my yellow cucumber split today. I have 2 now. Pictures to follow (as soon as the new half gets out of the shaded area).

Hi Jonathan. I think yours is a Tiger Tail cuke though. The Yellow ones are a lot smaller.
