Replacing Tar Ballast with Electronic Ballast

I plan to replace my standard tar MH ballast with an IceCap electronic MH ballast of the same wattage. Anyone have any suggestions as to what other equipment I might need to make this work - cords, sockets, etc. or will the existing ones work with the switch over ?

I can't see any reason that you would need to change anything else other than your ballast. It's all running off of the same thing. Inputs to the ballast will be out of the wall and the wiring for the bulb won't change IMO.

Fishnut, although I don't have firsthand experience with these, I've heard from many people that Icecap MH ballasts can have problems. The original vendor I was talking to when I set up my lights said they sent a lot of them back for repairs. I'm sure you've done your homework, but I thought I'd offer what I've heard.
