need info rsm 250

Hi, anyone know how heavy the red sea max 250 tank and cabinet are ?

I ordered one and going to pick them up from the lfs this weekend.

The problem I will have is moving it from the van on to a dolly.
Do you think its possible to slide it on a ramp ?

It's packaged quite well, but I would really recommend 2 people. My boo and I were able to get it out of the back of my car and onto the dolly easily.

I like the rsm 130 which I put in my bedroom, but not too fond of the lights.
I am actually downsizing because I am moving early next year and also now don't have as much time to take care of my tanks.

Specially ordered the white rsm 250 (wish rsm500) to match the furnishings in my living room then will take down the 90G and rsm 130 :)

Yeah, I actually asked King Ed to specially order one for me a few months back after knowing white rsm 250 exists.:lol:

I am just going to set it up to check that all are in working order and there's no leak. I have to pack it again in February to move back home.

Can't wait to see it in person tomorrow.

kevin at red coral managaed to diy the canopy and get a 4x 24w hot5 fixture in the hood... once the hood was closed you couldnt even tell the difference ( aside from the extra light in the tank)

ps i found some RSM retro kits online for mh and t5 but they were very pricey..

i am not really a fan of modding an all in one tank. I only do that to my custom made tank. I will sell the rsm 130 soon anyway :biggrin:

I didn't managed to pick up my rsm 250... suddenly all the van were unavailable :sad:. So instead I asked the lfs to deliver it next week. Don't have to worry about the heavy weight too.
