Starting this Journal just to share my progress.
I got thrown unwilling into reefing when we bought our house last year with an 90 gallon in wall system.

It was poorly constructed and maintained. When i first tested the tank water Nitrates were over 100 and Phosphate was around 4. I lost a lot of live stock the first few months, hair algae was out of control and I had no idea what I had gotten myself into.
Over the next year I read, read and read some more. I solved all of my water quality issues (for the time being) and got totally hooked on keeping a box full of salt water.
So i decided to start from scratch and do it right.

Below some random pictures of setting my new tank up from September until present.
New system thanks to Marine Aquaria.

Everything transferred over to new but the water is still cloudy.

i'll keep it updated as i go.
Future Changes:
- Different 6 bulb T5 combo I would like a cooler (bluer) Daytime light setup.
- Get rid of most of the softies (except for the acans) as I would like to do a monti dominate reef.
-Clean up the rats nest of cables and mount my electronics.
- Find a silent alternative to my MP40
Thanks for Looking!
