I've decided to put together a nano tank with an 18x18x24 cube tank that I have.

Any ideas on what to light it with? Are 18" T5 fixtures available?

I plan to keep Ricordias, zoas etc and perhaps LPS

Thanks, Rob

There are also readily available LED fixtures at 18" like this one :

Considering a new nano with these lights

Those marineland leds are for FOWLR tanks only

Have you considered a JBJ Viper K2 150watt? Love mine on my nano and after upgrading the bulb its a decent buy for the price

I have a 150w pendant over mine. I have ric's, zoas and some easy sps like digita. I've also used a 70w sun pod which worked just fine, I just wanted a little more light.

Have you considered LEDS. Aqua illumination would look crazy on that.

Did I mention this is low budget? I was going to use the PC fixture I have, but it seems to have quit working from it's time spent in the garage.

I'm leaning toward a 150w pendant since looks like there's good bulb availability. 18" T5 bulbs seem hard to come by.

OK, I've ordered the JBJ 150w halide from Ocean Aquatics. Now all I need is a Remora skimmer and I'm good to go.

Too late but for that kind of budget I would have gone with something like this:

A little more work but probably better in the long run.
