depends on what color your room and furniture are that it would be going into. black hides more for sure..

Either looks very sharp. I've set up the black one & it is a nice looking system. I've seen the white one only in the store (King Ed's) so can't comment on how it would look in someone's livingroom. But like the other member wrote, it really depends on the furnishings in the room. White is very unique though
(nobody else sells this colour as far as I know in Canada).

Maybe to help the poll, post a pic of the room/space you're planning for the tank.

I have a black one sitting here in my living room.. I think it would look really obtrusive if it were white.

My basement is still in reno mode from the last tank rupture and the wife said no more big tanks so i managed to get her to agree on this one decor is going be light brown walls.

white would look awesome in a more modern style house . Otherwise go black

Keep in mind what you want to focus on. A black setup frames the display and that's what you will see with little distraction from the stand. The white will draw your eyes away from the fish and corals. The eye tends to see the biggest brightest color first and gets pulled that way.

Ever look at a TV with silver surround, then a tv with black surround? You really notice the frame in the silver, but only the picture in the black one.

So, I would suggest black. (BTW, I'm a decorator :) )
