I'm looking for a vendor in calgary here that sells the Sunlight Supply Tek fixtures. I'm actually looking for the 60" 8X80W T5HO light fixture. I tried JL aquatics, but the only go up too 48". GoReef.com has the one, but I have never dealt with them before, so i'm not sure how good they are.
Anyone know where to find tek fixtures in calgary?
Anyone dealt off of www.goreef.com (http://www.goreef.com)?

I think Kevin at Red Coral is able to bring those in.

Make sure you've got a reliable source for 80w bulbs and a variety as well before you commit. It was a nightmare finding any but the actinics locally and maybe things have changed but I was forced to go to reefgeek.com and order online.

Oh I missed that, I only read as far as Tek. Yeah you might want to rethink the 80w thing, very few suppliers and the price jumps quite a bit as well.

I've been told it's because 5 foot bulbs don't fit on standard 4 foot pallets. They break really easy too and I think LFS avoid bringing them in.

Yeah i've thought of those 80W issues, but I really want an 8 bulb and the 36" fixtures only come in 6 bulb to the best of my knowledge. Can anyone prove this wrong? I would gladly purchase 2 36" fixtures.

The last fixture that size we got in was for Blue Tang, and it had to be individually crated upright.
I know the last TEK we got 8x80w was $699.99.
ATI makes a 8x39w, but its more expensive than the 60" Tek.

Did you just check the J&L website or did you e-mail them? I am sure they can get any of the products Sunlight Supply offers.
As for go reef.......... maybe post a message on the Quebec section of Canreef and see if anyone there has ordered from them.
Also check out Ocean Aquatics........ they list the Tek Light & Tek Light Elite in the 5 ft fixture.
Cheers,
Vic
