I got this tabler from Doug (fishytime)...maybe he has an actual ID for it??

EDIT: This coral has turned out not to be a tabler. I believe it is Acropora austera.

Thanks for sharing Mindy. Growth sequence pictures are my favourite of all coral pictures. It just goes to show what we can do in captivity. It gives hobbyists hope and encouragement. Now if only we could all have big enough tanks to keep letting all of our corals grow without having to frag it.....

Very nice Mindy the color sure came alive on that thing!

And Dez we both know it's do-able. I know you have a new fish shed built behind your house. You still seem to be confused and keep parking vehicles in it =)

I have a Fiji Purple on the tank now though, so that's color cheating! That's why the last photo looks pinkish too. The older part of the coral in the center where it is darker actually has a lime green sheen to it that I can't seem to get on the camera in a top down photo, but you can see the sheen in the first pic. Thanks for the comments guys! I also enjoy seeing growth sequence pics...mine or someone else.

I can't wait to get my Phoenix bulbs over the tank! :D I located some 250w Phoenix 14,000K SE bulbs!

Ya, it turned out not to be a tabler (looked like it at first). I believe it is Acropora austera, which is classified as a staghorn coral.

Ya....Austera would be a good guess. I find there are many species that are similar in that growth pattern though....making it hard for a good id....but ya Austera is a definite possibility.
