Good deal I just hope if you have any partner's that you have a rock solid shareholders agreement and have checked them out full so they don't screw you over like mine did. NEVER NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN will I have a partner in a company. Went from doing 1/2 a mill a year to almost losing my acreage and every thing else I own.
Good Luck it is a tough go for some but if you work hard at it you will do well. I have started over again from scratch and it has not been easy.

Tell me about it. I have 3 partners! But they're all good guys and we have a pretty solid share structure for ourselves. We've heard some bad horror stories from people. Not good!
I'm more worried about investors than the partners!

I thought my partner was a good guy to. He put in $20k to get the company started and I did all the work made all the money to buy all the equipment we had $300K worth just for him to steal all of it by threat's and force.
Investor's can be trick for sure. I need one of them right now myself but don't trust anyone anymore.
Can you give a little insight to what the company will be doing?

What's the business Kevin?
We are developing a low cost, energy efficient water desalination technology for developing communities. More specifically, we are looking at communities affected by brackish water.
There are many communities around the world affected by poor water quality that have no means, at least in the forseeable future, of getting access to clean municipal water. Moreover, most can not afford the capital and maintenance costs associated with RO systems.
These communities aren't just rural; this issue is very prevalent though many cities world-wide. Initially we are focusing on the rising middle class of the hardest hit countries then expanding from there.
Our system is designed to be a low-cost competitor to RO systems. I came up with this concept a few years ago while I was traveling in South East Asia and experience these issues first hand. We are looking to launch our product overseas about this time next year; the office over there is being put into the works this Christmas.
I'm being tight lipped about it for now but I'll start to fill you guys in once we have patents and stuff all sorted. You can follow along on our blog (blueionwater.wordpress.com) while our website (www.blueionwater.com) is being built. I don't mind having private email conversations if anyone has any interest or questions.

No, that's the back up plan or retirement... we'll have to see how business #1 goes. My rule of thumb is to at least start legal first...

Congrats, and hope all goes well for you.
As one biz owner (INC.) to another, make sure you find a very good accountant or bookkeeper. Many/most don't have a clue about incorporation and the benefits it can carry in regards to $$$$$$. A good accountant/bookkeeper can save you lots.
Have fun, being self employed can have its stresses, but alot of benefits as well.

Tell me about! We are going to be running under some government tax programs for research and need to have IMMACULATE bookkeeping. If they audit us and we've got shoddy bookkeeping we'd get the proverbial "something bad in some place terrible"
We've ended up with a pretty standard share structure with a few little twists. We're prayin' to god that we've done it right (got three MBAs working on this part so I trust them... I think:razz:).
