So this guy has caused me much grief over the past while. After I first saw it in the shadows of some rock it took me a bit to believe what I saw until I saw it again a few days later. Was really hard to tell at first how big or even what it really was. Since the spring a started to loss livestock. The first major one was a prized clam. Then things like zoo's, rhodactis and other LPS. Also had some fish disappear. During this time I had no idea what could be doing this. All the fish I have I could not believe was doing this. But I now remember adding a piece of live rock sometime ago9first time in years. So I'm guessing this is where he came from. I have totally tore out my live rock out of my 150g, put a few fish in my other tanks to catch this guy. Very fast and clever. Wouldn't even go for the trap idea. So while I'm at it I will clean all my rock as I've been battling a bad aiptasia problem. Who knows I may just sell off my 150g. Just had to vent abit as the past couple of years have not been great with reefing.

He is trying to look all innocent. What are you going to do with him? I have a sump full of those buggers if you don't want to kill him I can take him off your hands.

As mad as I am at it, I won't be killing it. He's getting by on his good looks

a little while longer you could eat him for a snack instead of him eating every thing in your tank...

Really cool markings!

I can see losing coral, zoa's and stuff that doesn't move, but I find it hard to believe a crab can go fishing. Unless the fish are slow as malasses.

Cool find, throw him in the sump.

All the "bad" crabs I have seen are fast as lightning. I had two in my 20 at one point and good luck trying to get them. Even look the wrong way and flash! GONE!

This is why I hate crabs! They turn into monsters. I had one in my reef, (a little smaller than yours), that killed hundreds of dollars worth of corals before I finally was able to spear it with a metal turkey skewer. Then the hermits in my frag tank took out a bunch of zoas. Corals are hard enough to raise without some 8-legged, stalk-eyed monster snacking on them. KILL THEM!!!
