I'm using two of their predecessors/ancestors in my tank (Wayysea - they look exactly the same as the Vertex Mocean) but instead of hooking up to my sump return I've attached two Tunzes. I love the effect. You will have a lot of fun with this item! :)

It might be a little too new of a product name still. If you google instead on "WavySea" you might find more people using those on their tanks. As far as I can tell they are the same product, just that a different company is marketing it now (Vertex) or at least a new brand name has been put on it.

Thanks for the pics looks great but I dont think it would be possible with bulkheads will have to look into this. Yours looks great and seems to create alot of surface agitation.
Thanks

I just ordered one of these. Saw Josie's and had to have one, just like every other new gadget and gizmo that comes along. It's your fault Josie.

it's always my fault ;)
Of course it is. I can't be held responsible for my own actions.
A few questions if you please:
Did you use the 3/4" or 1" hose barb?
How many GPH, in your estimation, do you have running from the return line?
Any problems with bubbles?
Will it make my tank as nice as yours?

Isnt that the same as the Wavy sea, or did Vertex just copy it

They have some sort of licensing dealio far as I know. It's not a copycat and when it first launched on J&L they were using a wavysea watermarked image for the product =)

Yeah Vertex bought them out and changed the guts somewhat; supposedly better built. I think the exterior hasn't changed though.
