Just love the look of this fish. So does my mom (who insisted I needed more bright red in my new tank) and Irene. She's wanted one in my tank for a while.
So, who else keeps one of these beauties?
ya, I don't see too many of them around, but I do like the tuskfish as well

You know I do and Green Spotted Puffer used to have one. That's the only ones I know about.

Yup, read all that before I bought the fish. Have been a big fan of wetwebmedia for years.
If my friend Richard doesn't set up a huge tank in the next couple of years to take home his fish, I'll be looking to upgrade to a 6' x 30" x 30" or 7' x 30" x 30" but in acrylic (too heavy otherwise) for a big fowlr.

I gots one.....we should be mentioning if they are indo or aussie. Big price difference and everyone says they are nicer from aussie but Im not sure I have been able to tell the difference to date.
Mine is indo

Darryl, if you go to Live Aquaria there's a good side by side pic of the two varieties.

Mine's Indo too. Beautiful fish nonetheless. Couldn't afford an Aussie one anyways.

Had a bit of trouble getting him to eat initially, but is doing really well now, had him for about 6 months now.

Yup. Can't keep shrimp with these guys. They may also take a very small fish and crabs. I wouldn't try keeping small Gobies with them. Don't care about the crabs: I hate them!

Mine is an Aussie. I paid the better part of $200 for him when he was about 4.5"' I don't know what the Indo's go for though. I find they are quite slow growers. Mine has probably only grown an inch in a year and a half and he eats like a pig.
