I have a hammer coral that is doing great but have noticed it is bubbling. I have noticed this before on other corals and have also seen it go away on others but not on this one. Is this how branching hammer grows new branches or is something else going on w them ?

no i cant, but it looks normal except there is a bubble in the middle of the one branch.

It's a normal behaviour that can occur during fission or reproduction. How long has it been like that?

In the middle of the head or the middle of the tentacle?

If it looks like that ^ it's not a problem, but I'm not always so quick to jump to conclusions without a photo. :)

When my hammer does that it's usually in the process of spliting one head into 2. I wouldn't worry about it, it's probably just growth

Ya that's exactly what it looks like, and it is coming from the mouth of the coral just like in the pic. Thanks a lot for the help.

Like in that pic, it can also be because the coral just caught a piece of food.
