Good Luck Josie!
I've often thought about raising a brood from my Fire Clowns, but then I remember I already have 3 tanks and living in Powell River I would have to ship the grown babies.

UPDATE:

the babies did not make it... well it's not really a big surprise, it's our first try at this and we were not that prepare, my husband was too quick deciding to do this before getting all the equipment

But next month we will be better installed and will try again :)

There is an excellent read on Reef Central under the spawning section about a guy breeding black percs. Very detailed on how to raise them and the food, also lots of pictures on his set up and methods.

"Clownfish" by Joyce D. Wilkerson is a very good read as well on raising the babies as well as the food source for them.

Best of luck to you.

mh, dont remember the brand.. it's in a bottle in the fridge at Big Als... but dont think it was that good...
my 2 mini bottles of phyto died yesterday! :thumbdown
I'm going to shop around to get better products...
is there brands that are better then others?
and for the rotifers... is it better to get those in bottles or get eggs (does it exist?)

I know that some brands (like DT) designed their product (mixed incompatible strains-species),to have a culture started out of their product crush.
