Anyone use LED replacement light bulbs to replace incandescent light bulbs around the house?

I'm not really happy with PC bulbs........ they never seem to last as long as what they state.

The only thing is they are a bit pricey and some say a bit dim.

Cheers,
Vic

i have been replacing all of my lights with led-using 3 watt cool white in my pot lights(gu10) and at work using a 9watt warm gu10.i have tried out other bulbs with multi leds from ebay-DO NOT BUY THEM-THEY ARE PIECES OF EXCRETEMENT-better to get the ones at rona and pay a little extra money and have better lighting that lasts-i have also tried out other leds for various lighting

if only it were as easy as replacing pot lights.

I'm looking to replace normal E27 medium base light bulbs. I've seen some at deals extreme from $5-15 a pop for a 3 watt solution.

I'll probably get one and try it out.

A19 is the standard incandescent light bulb that most refer to as a "regular standard" light bulb
an A19 bulb is 2.375 inches wide, an E27 is 3.375 inches wide, at the widest spot.

But the same base, is what I'm reffering to. Funny, me being an electrician and not remembering something as simple as that but I work in Mill's and Mines. Totally different that the average elec :D

Most of the LED replacement bulbs are E27. I've only come across 2-3 A19 sizes.

rona carries 2 types of e27 which i have been using-spot and vanity-both are good-you can also get them on ebay-but it is better to get the cree e27-you can also ask the company to make the lights with different bases(gu10,e27.m11 etc)
