Getting some live rock (from someone elses tank) and was wondering if just supplying some circulation for it is enough, or should I have a skimmer and such hooked up. I'm not ready to put it in the main tank just yet, have to finish the room where its going to be setup. Just thought I would ask this dumb question as some here have made upgrades or disasters to their systems and wondering how they made out
cheers,

personaly I would keep in in a dark place with a heater and a powerhead if there is any algae on it whats so ever. if you are not worried about algae you could put a actinic light over it.
