If the bottom of the stick on the glass thermometer breaks... and those little black balls come out.. is it toxic? I can't find what they were... but I may have ingested a few of them while trying to quickly suck them out... oh likfe is great right now!

It isn't lead as when it happened in my tank the balls rusted, I just used the back of a powerhead magnet and went over the sand bed and it grabbed most of the spilled ones.

If it was only a few I wouldn't be worried probably just stainless steel, should pass through you with no effects (Don't hold me for liability if you die though:wink:).

It happened to me, I dropped it and it shattered in my sump/refuge... No worries, it isn't lead. I got most of it out, but not all, and this was about 2 years ago and I am still going without any crash. So I think you are ok.

if your that worries go see a doc so you can get some pooping meds. keep an eye out for flu like symptoms and fever. other than that you cant do much else.
