Yellow Goby reef safe ?

I,ve had a yellow goby (gobiodon okinawae) for about 4 yrs, never really had him in with any sps's before. I put in a couple of frags temperarly and he is picking away at them :twised: At first I thought he was laying on one for a new hang out, but after sitting watching I saw that he just sits there and waits for any polypes to start to open :confused: Any one else have one or heard if they had problems ?

I heard they will continually pick at SPS. Most people will recommend against them.

Unfortunately I have to say the same. :frown: My clown goby disappeared about a week ago and all my frags look great and have their polyps out.

I've had two YCGs in two different tanks with a limited number of sps corals. Neither touched the polyps - ever.

Yes, for awhile I had my YCG as my avatar. Still have one in my 42 gal reef. It hangs out with my ocellaris clowns who have taken over the pectinia as their "anemone". Also have a pair of skunk clowns who usually stay within 6-8" of the pectinia and ocellaris pair. Very cute to watch these fish co-exist so peacefully :cool:

Have some natural light photos of these five fish. Took them the other day in the morning when the sun shines on the tank for an hour or so. Had to keep the door open while taking the photos so shadows from the blinds on the door did not interfere with the quality of the pics. Kinda froze my heiny off, though.

These fish are normally all in plain sight, but bring out the camera and they all become rather shy. Too bad, because they are so photogenic and so cute all together :cool:

If he continues to give trouble, I will be happy to take him off your hands. I have no SPS to speak of, and I have been looking for one anyway. :biggrin:
