Zoos maybe ?

Seems IA is not sending three guys as promised, just two, so with Barry that will be three. Sounds ugly for a 230g tank.

They are coming Sat around 3:30PM.

Anyone able to help out?

Jon, they delivered yours. How did that go?

Went good. They sent a fellow named "Doug" (longer haired guy) who knew exactally what they were doing.
I had a guy from my work come and help out.
All I remember is taking the tank out of the van and thinking "Dam this this is Frikking HEAVY" I was scared

Went well though.

Deb how did your IA experience go anyways? People are still complaining on RC as usual, I'm wondering if he gives Canadians special treatment.

He complains bitterly that those US people need a life....

I expected a bit of a delay on delivery, not a hassle for me. He spent a lot of time with us in the shop, so I'd say yah, he was kind to the locals, as it should be...

3 would be impossible for the average size persons. There were 4 of us and it was quite a haul. We took 4 brakes and it took us 30 minutes to get it from the driveway to the basement in the tank room.

Have fun

WHOA....thanks Tony !

Haha, don't thank me now, thank me when it's time for me to move my 2 ... ooops I mean 3 tanks to our new house (not 'til April though so there's time to come up with creative excuses! ... oops I mean "plenty of time to block off your calendar.")

No seriously it beats getting my house ready for sale... Did I ever mention I have "work avoidance issues" ... ??

I'll try to be there by 3:30 or so. Better get the vitamin-I (Ibuprofen) ready, or the vitamin-B-liquid (mmmm beer) for the back-aches to follow after...

The last time I moved a 230 into my basement I rented suction cups. They really helped and we were able to move it with only two of us. That sucker was so heavy that it is still there in my last house.

Do you want more help? I'll split the clam with Tony

I will actually be here waiting for Sears to deliver my new recliner/swivel rocker. Then I will recline and rock, and sip a recreational beverage while you work.

Yeah, I saw that pic of me and Barry showing our huge "muscles" to the camera as the tank came up the steps out of the garage...

BTW, does yours have 3/4" euro-bracing? that's gotta be another 200 lbs easy...

Looking good Deb. Can't wait to see pic of it full. Can't wait to post pics of a certain 155 bowfront. I've added VHO, painted the stand and back of the tank and have been waiting of other goodies. Enough about that though I can wait to see everything finished.

OK Deb I'm here, do I win a prize for heading to the east side of the board, perhaps a pair of snowshoes would be good

That tank looks  very very , so does all that white stuff on the ground around the outside of your house

So I guess I can hang out awhile and give it a try over here, as we don't get the "wrinkled clam" talk to often on the Vanc. forum

Christy, you should get that looked at  and I have 20/20 vission

Keep us posted Deb, would like to see lot's more

Did you find out what the deal is with the plywood in the bottom  , and that crazy sump??

BTW, I don't know if I can wait wait a few months for you to fill that thing up - what if you were to plan a "Christmas party" to get a bunch of people over, and then tell them to bring long gloves....

Hey sounds good Alan :drinking:

That sump is a total mystery to me. I just don't see it. Might have to give them a call and ask for the instruction manual. I think I remember him saying the plywood was put on because of the type of stand.
